Ideas for Work From Home Jobs

Main Content No Comments »
Going on a search for work from home ideas is like looking for hay in a haystack. But finding ideas that work for you is more like looking for a needle in a haystack.

There are several reasons why working from home is becoming so popular. More and more companies are allowing employees to work out of their homes because it saves them money.

People are choosing to work from home to save money, too. Some want to stay home with their children. Some people want to be their own boss. There are as many reasons as there are opportunities.

Its a good idea to sit back and consider what you want to do from home before you go out and search.

What are your talents? Are you an excellent typist? You could do medical transcription from home.

This is becoming a dying form of home employment, though, because many doctors are choosing to dictate their notes into computer voice recognition programs. But some doctors still feel that a real person is much more reliable than a voice program and will pay home transcriptionists to type up their notes.

Other work from home ideas for someone who is good with typing and other computer related talents are data entry jobs from home, freelance writing from home, or research work from home.

Research work from home is mostly conducting research on the internet, but you must be able to compile the information you find in order to present it to your client.

The types of clients that might need research work are lawyers, insurance companies, private detectives, or entrepreneurs starting a business might seek market research.

If you are more talented on the telephone than on the keyboard some work from home ideas for you might include telemarketing, taking telephone orders for an online retailer, or even customer support work from home for a service business or retailer.

Often when you contact customer support you will reach someone who is doing support work from home. The company simply has their customer service telephone line forwarded to your home line during your shift.

List your talents and skills and compile a list of work from home ideas to match them - then get to work on researching them. Then log into the internet to find out more about those ideas.

You may find jobs during your online search to apply for, or you may find information about how to get the jobs that you seek.

The reasons why you are working from home don’t matter, nor what your plans are, the internet provides a raft of data on just about any topic.

It won’t be long before you are working from home.

What’s the Difference Between a Work at Home Job and a Home Business?

Internet No Comments »
Many people want to make money from home and the internet is making that goal much easier to achieve. Before you start your research one thing that you should try and understand is the difference between a home business and a work from home job.

In this article let’s take a look at a couple of the differences between home businesses and work at home jobs and how they could affect whether you make money or not.

People that are entrepreneurial by nature tend to do better running their own home business. They enjoy being their own boss and love the challenge of building something from the ground up.

Having a business of your own from home is a great way to make money, however you have no guarantees of a paycheck on a steady basis. This means that it is advisable to have some money saved or alternatively you may want to continue to work full time or part time while you work on your own business.

Today telecommuting makes it possible for people to work from home for companies without actually going into an office to do it. For example websites such as Tjobs.com match employers with employees who want to stay home and work. This is just one form of a work from home job that you can find.

Other things you can do that are really more along the lines of a job to include data entry, typing at home, writing articles for people, creating graphics, answering the phone, and so on. You are not really building a business yet you are providing a skill that people will pay you for.

There are advantages to both having your own home business and a work from home job. As an example, it is possible to start a home business that creates a recurring income, allowing you to have future income even if you are not able to work. Network marketing and 2 tier affiliate programs are an example of this.

With a work at home job you can get paid without having to go out and travel to your workplace. You do not really have any responsibilities when you are done doing your job for that day. If you have a talent or a skill there are people who can pay you to do that.

This is a few differences to keep in mind when you are considering whether you want a work from home job or to start your own home business. The choice is strictly up to you!

Main Content No Comments »
Ever thinking of start a work-from-home business? Most people do have a dream of working for themselves from their comfort home. However, it turns out there are major pros and cons having a work-from-home business. If you are interested in making your fortune by working from home, then you need to know how to take advantages of its pros and avoid the cons that can make you fail. Let’s explore the reality pros and cons of working from home that you should consider before you set up the business.

1. You are your own boss

Pro: By working at home, you have no boss to look at your back and rush you to complete tasks or to meet a project dateline that you have been paid for as a working individual. You do not need to complete a task assigned by your boss or to write tedious weekly or monthly reports. You are your own boss, you decide what to do next, and you make the call for all decisions.

Con: The reality for many people are that your productivity is often affected when nobody look at your back. You may work hard initially, but after a while you get lazy because no boss is chasing you to meet the dateline for a task. It’s a common human behaviour to get lazy and tend to do things slower if no dateline to be met or no boss to rush them to complete a task within schedule.

2. You write your own paycheck

Pro: If you work for your own at home, you are the one who will decide how much you can earn each month. Basically, you write your own paycheck and decide the amount of the check. There is no limit for the amount to be written on the check, only sky is the limit. Therefore, you can decide to earn 10K a month or 100K a month, any amount is possible, you make the call.

Con: It is not easy to earn a paycheck with amount equal or higher than your current salary, you need to have smart business plan. Many people who try to work from home and earn money online have failed and quit the online business and go back to workplace. So, it not an easy task to replace your day job with a home business unless you have done it right with a right business plan and you may need a good blueprint to help if you do not know how to avoid the common mistakes made by those people who had failed in the business.

3. You work in flexible schedule & less hours

Pro: This is the major benefit and the dream for many working individuals who need to work in fixed hours. You decide your working time and how long you want to work; you can choose to work for just 1 or 2 hours a day and start to work at the middle of the day or even at the mid-night and you can take time off whenever you wish.

Con: For most people, starting a work-from-home business means hard work and long working hours. You have to put in efforts in choosing a right business and do it right until it achieves a success level before you can work in relax mode. And, don’t expect to work in minimum hours because you have a lot of works to do and you need to spend time to get them done if you want a success work-from-home business.

Summary

Starting a work-from-home business involves a lot of efforts and commitments. You should consider it carefully to take advantages of its pros and avoid the cons so that you can success in the business.

Scammed: Why Can’t I Find Legitimate Work At Home Jobs?

Job Tips No Comments »
There’s no shame in being scammed. It happens to everyone. It may seem like ripping the scammers tongue out is too kind for them. But there are some options you have to make things right.

There is a story about a man in Denver who just graduated from college and needed work. He couldn’t find employment anywhere, and decided to work at home with an online company that specialized in data entry. He was a smart guy, but admittedly gullible to the point where he believed everyone on their word, no matter how often he got burned.

He signed on with a data entry service that charged him a monthly fee of $10.00. Since he’d never had a work at home job, he couldn’t tell if that was the norm, so he paid it. He set up a direct debit with them so the fee could be taken out of his account every month.

He was sent an email with a list of data he needed to enter into a template he had to download, and was paid $.05 per page of entered data. This originally sounded good to him. But, he’d spent almost $80,000 to get his degree and after doing math wound up making a whopping $1.00 every twenty pages.

However, that $.05 per page was reset after each assignment, which had a maximum page count of 8 or 9. That meant that if he worked all day, which he did, he made about $5.25. And each month, when they took out their fee, it made a real difference. Also, when he quit the company continued withdrawing money from his bank account.

This is not uncommon. When you take a job you need to be especially careful of scams like this one that have you doing too much work for almost no money. What can you do when that happens? First and foremost, if you can’t find any information about a company online then don’t take the job. Let someone else do the dirty work; let them get hoodwinked first.

It sounds mean, but why should you take the fall? You can’t afford to get scammed, so don’t be “that guy”. The other thing you can do is report it on sites that specialize in work from home scams. There are blogs you can post your comments or complaints on about any job you’ve been bamboozled by. Unfortunately there is hardly any legal recourse for you. Once it’s happened, it’s happened. The reality is, once you’ve been swindled, you can’t be un-swindled. It happened; now move on to a good job.

Many work at home jobs are sometimes thought of as low-end employment. That’s not the case. There are real jobs and real careers out there for hard workers with the proper experience. Just because you got scammed once doesn’t mean it has to happen again. A rule of thumb is to never give out any personal financial information to anyone over the internet for a work at home position. PayPal payments are usually a sure indicator that the employer is legit. So, take a breath, step back and then move forward with your new work from home position.

Work From Home Online Tools

Main Content No Comments »

Every business has a need for tools to make their tasks easier. The same applies to a work from home online business. Tools will reduce the amount of time needed to perform daily tasks therefore creating a higher productivity output. They can also be used to perform tasks that a webmaster may otherwise need to pay some one to do.

Many work from home online webmasters do not know how to write source code so a tool that comes in very handy is a writer such as the free NVU. With NVU the webmaster can just write in plain text in the normal window and while that is being done the source code is automatically being written in another window called source.

This can be used to write page content for a web page, email campaign, articles or even ads that require source code to make links, names, and images clickable. The code is also what creates the spaces between paragraphs, font sizes, colors, and information that is only seen by the search engines when they crawl your site.

The webmaster can write the content directly into NVU or another tool such as word processor programs like Open Office, Microsoft Works, or Note Tab Light can be used then just copy and paste the content into NVU and instantly get your source code. Which ever way the webmaster feels more comfortable using in their work from home online business will work just fine.

Once the webmaster has finished creating the page for his website then the free tool called FileZilla Client is used to transfer the data to the file manager of the website on the sites server to make it live on the web. Tools like FileZilla are imperative to a webmaster in a work from home online business since that is the only way to transfer data from one’s PC to the sites file manager on the server.

For the articles that are written this way they are now ready to be submitted to the article directories by using the copy and paste method. The same method can be used to insert articles or messages into the webmasters auto-responder as well. At anytime that a page from your website needs changes made just use FileZilla to down load that page from your servers file manger to your PC, make the changes in NVU and then use FileZilla to upload the page back to your site.

The auto-responder is one of the most important tools that a webmaster will use in a work from home online business. Auto-responders do have a monthly fee, however you can find them at a variety of monthly fees depending on just how involved you need it to be. Most auto-responder suppliers base their prices on the size of your list, the number of messages you can send each month and the number of special broadcasts that you want to send out each month. All of which will depend on how new your work from home online business is.

The auto-responder is the webmasters work-horse since it works twenty-four hours a day seven days a week. In other words it never stops working. No matter how many different places that you have your lead capture page being exposed on the web it will always send the prospects sign-up information back to your auto-responder and your preloaded messages will be sent to them, which is building your list while you work on other things, sleep, or even take a day off. This one tool is the webmasters totally auto pilot work force once you load your messages. Most work from home online business owners try to set-up at least six months to a year of follow-up messages spaced about three to four days apart. This way they only need to do behind the scenes work for any special broadcasts they wish to send out like special deals or new training that they come up with.

In closing one can see how important just these few tools are to a webmaster that is operating a work from home online business. The great thing about these few are they are all free to down load and use except for the auto-responder which if a webmaster shops around they can find them at very reasonable prices. Just be sure to do your research of the company offering the auto-responder to be sure they deliver what they promise and that they have happy satisfied clients.
